Nobody Knows Homes Better.

You will find me an unapologetic cheerleader for Western North Carolina, which has been part of my life for most of it.

I grew up in the Blue Ridge Mountains and have been coming here since Ghost Town was still staging gunfights and getting there meant a chairlift ride to the top. College and career took me away, but I kept coming back.

Over the years, I've driven the Blue Ridge Parkway end to end twice, honked through every tunnel, watched elk return to these mountains, joined the Saturday night parades down Soco Road after festival days, and looked at more Western North Carolina real estate than any person without a license could reasonably justify.

For a long time, I was always almost moving here.

Meanwhile, I built a 25-year career in media, technology, business development and sales leadership. That experience taught me to ask the right questions, find the story that matters and the audience for it, navigate complicated deals, solve problems creatively and use technology to extend good judgment rather than replace it. Most importantly, it taught me to build relationships that survive the contract.

Eventually my husband and I stopped almost moving. Haywood County had come to feel more like home than the place we returned to after every visit, so we bought Creekside, an '80s builder-grade fixer-upper in Maggie Valley that we're slowly bullying into an Arts & Crafts cottage charmer.

Once here, real estate—sitting at the intersection of people and place, especially this place—made an awful lot of sense. After a career spent selling other people's passions, it was time to apply that experience to one I shared.

I earned my North Carolina real estate license and joined Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Heritage here in Haywood County, a locally owned brokerage with decades of Western North Carolina experience and the resources and reach of a national brand. After a career that began in home media, there was also something fitting about landing at Better Homes and Gardens.

A headline is rarely the whole story. That's true of real estate, too.

A house is more than its listing. Land is more than acreage. A move is rarely just a change of address. What looks simple on paper can get complicated quickly, and what matters most may not be on paper at all.
